About this session
A skills profile does not prove readiness for a particular role. Drawing on ServiceNow experience, Josh Newman explores how skills information, work performance and experience can be combined with expert judgement to identify realistic development paths, distinguish a potential match from demonstrated readiness and support internal mobility decisions.
Learning outcomes
- Identify evidence needed beyond a skills profile.
- Distinguish a development opportunity from a ready-now match.
- Frame an internal mobility decision with appropriate human judgement.

Context
A skills profile can indicate a possible match without proving readiness for a role. Mobility decisions need context about actual work, experience and the development required to make a transition feasible.
