About this session
Starting with a change in business demand, Vemo traces workload into the capacity and skills needed to deliver it. Productive time, attrition, recruitment lead times and time to proficiency change when a gap emerges and how early an organisation must act. A worked sensitivity check shows why assumptions should be visible before choosing to hire, develop or redeploy.
Learning outcomes
- Connect a demand assumption to a capacity requirement.
- Identify which planning assumptions most affect the timing of a gap.
- Explain why a workforce response must begin before the gap appears.
This session will explore
- Translate a change in demand into workload and required capacity.
- Examine productive time, attrition, recruitment lead times and time to proficiency.
- Use a sensitivity check to compare hiring, development and redeployment choices.
Context
A workforce forecast is only as useful as its explanation of the work to be delivered. Productive time, attrition and capability lead times influence both the size of a gap and when action must begin.
