About this session
A fictional AI-assisted HR workflow is producing faster outputs. Should it now scale? David Green presents the decision, asks delegates for an initial choice, then challenges Julie Lin, Vic Akosile and Danielle Bushen to identify who can authorise or stop it, whether the product and its human-review safeguards are ready, and whether underlying processes and exceptions have been properly designed. The panel finishes with the evidence and conditions needed to proceed, redesign, extend the trial or pause.
Learning outcomes
- Identify who must own a decision to scale or stop AI use.
- Specify evidence needed to assess readiness and safeguards.
- Formulate conditions for proceeding, redesigning, extending a trial or pausing.
This session will explore
- A fictional AI-assisted HR workflow and the decision about whether to scale it.
- Who has authority to approve or stop expansion, and what product readiness and human review require.
- Process ownership, exceptions and the conditions for proceeding, redesigning, extending the trial or pausing.
Context
Faster outputs do not establish that an AI-assisted HR workflow is ready to scale. The decision depends on who has authority, whether safeguards work and whether underlying processes and exceptions have been designed adequately.
