About this session
People Analytics has spent years improving data, reporting and insight. The next challenge is not another generation of dashboards; it is building a system that helps leaders make better choices about work, capacity, skills, locations, investment and risk. David will introduce a practical decision chain from business question to evidence, recommendation, ownership, action and outcome. He will also frame the organisational changes required when analytics teams move closer to Finance, Operations, Technology and business leaders - and the evidence they must produce if they want to claim business value.
Learning outcomes
- Recognise the difference between insight production and decision support.
- Use a decision-chain framework to assess workforce-intelligence work.
- Identify where ownership and evidence must extend beyond HR.

- Why workforce intelligence should begin with a consequential business decision.
- The chain from signal and analysis to recommendation, ownership, action and outcome.
- How data, work design, governance and operating ownership fit together.
