About this session
Seema Swami will open with a concise provocation: analytics creates more value when it challenges the inherited decision frame rather than simply calculating the requested answer. Participants will then apply a decision-evidence chain to one consequential workforce choice, identify which evidence would genuinely change or constrain the recommendation, and compare where different groups reached different conclusions. The session closes with a practical checklist covering the decision owner, assumptions, evidence types, uncertainty, implementation, governance and the signals that should cause a decision to continue, change or stop.
Learning outcomes
- Challenge an inherited decision frame before committing to analysis.
- Combine different evidence types around one consequential workforce choice.
- Identify what evidence would strengthen, constrain or reverse a recommendation.

- Comparison of where evidence changes, weakens or constrains the recommendation.
- A final checklist covering ownership, uncertainty, implementation, governance and stop criteria.
